For you & for life.


Healthy I wish I can be, body as clean as the sea
I know that you know what’s good for your own body
There’s such a thing called consuming in moderation
But don’t tell me, the bad things are healthy
Like Sharee said, it is not.
So do the math - are most of the things we consume needed?
Do we need fritters, cakes, and fried chicken to function?
Or is it just cravings and personal satisfaction?
But which is better, the body you desire or the never-ending cravings?
Choose wisely, what you put in your body.

Whatever the outcome is, is from your own doing
So if being healthy is something important
Then make a change to your own diet
Start with making vegetables and fruits a necessity
And the rest will follow provided you are adamant.

Exercise like a beast to rid all your stress and worries
Least you're moving, taking trips from hip to hip
And eat small meals a day to keep you on your feet
Sleep well too, so you can repeat.

Remember, it only takes 21 days to change something into a habit
What are you waiting for? Turn this into a routine.
Treat your body kindly because it can be more than what you see in the mirror.  
Prove that you can set goals and surpass them.
And if you ever fall, get back up stronger, more motivated than ever.
Do it for you, for life, for everlasting happiness.

Walk the talk.


One more mile.


Consistency and doing to the extent of your capability will get you somewhere no matter how impossible it may sound or look. If you're determined enough, there is nothing that can ruin your realistic goals. There may be some mishaps along the way but there should not be a 'stop' from getting back up. The things that happen to our bodies is usually from our own doing henceforth it is only up to us to make that change - not for just a day, a month or two but for life. I hope my family could instill that notion. What is stopping you? Something I ask myself whenever I feel like giving up.

Speed of sound.

That moment when you feel time has elapsed its way like the ray of light as we're heading onto the month of Shawal which also means that in couple of countable days that Ramadhan is ending..

Room in Keele.

I don't know what it is about the room that I stayed in. Maybe it is how the shower drips for ten seconds after I turn the tap off. The curve of my study table that makes it hard to stretch my legs. I love my room and hall, everything about it despite the little minor  things which is too minor to be mentioned because it is far from what I expected. Syukur.

I kind of miss that room.

Ramadhan 2012.

With sincere hearts, Ramadhan is welcomed with open arms.
Ecstatic and overwhelmed to meet the holy month again.
To get that feeling, where almost every passing day feels like an accomplishment.
Cos it's more to just fasting and refraining from food and drinks.
But intensifying and elevating our ibadah.
Ritual tahlils and recitals held everywhere.
Mosques that are packed every night.
It is a solitary moment, full of self-reflection.

It's heart-breaking to see the month pass by.
In the hopes that we'd reunite again
Putting what we've gained into practice.
Until the next Ramadhan.
Where we get to welcome its arrival with even wider arms.
