Packing has never been fun, but packing to move to the residence is worthwhile. Dad thankfully said we'd never have to move out again.

Must keep up.

When you are physically tired but eyes fail to shut because of god knows why, you crazily stay awake, and I mean crazily as you're sadly helplessly unproductive. You wonder into space, hoping that time is on your side allowing those puny eyes of yours to shut. But no...

I went running today with the daily runners, Ash and Z. Man, to think that I could last for 45 minutes at my regular comfort pace that it would be breezy to run with the lot but was I darn wrong! They were at this insanely mad speed that I failed to catch up with halfway and ended up being three minutes delayed because I was THAT slow. That is me complaining after 3.5km. I could not believe my eyes that I could only run at my fastest for 3.5km. Need to really build up my stamina by doing endurance training perhaps-haps-haps.

Go the distance

Inspiring running quotes that might just help keep me and everyone who enjoys running out there going.

"It hurts up to a point and then it doesn't get any worse."
- Ann Trason

“Endurance? You’ve only got to get out there and do it. Face up to it: man was meant to run.” – Percy Cerutty

"If you start to feel good during an ultra, don't worry you will get over it." - Gene Thibeault

"Runners just do it - they run for the finish line even if someone else has reached it first." - Author Unknown

“Life’s battles don't always go to the strongest or fastest man,
But sooner or later the man who wins is the fellow who thinks he can.”

With this, hypothetically you can run as light as a feather. I think this is more of a need than a want so I'm planning on hitting a sports shop after tomorrow's class (woop, last class for the week) but if I were on the dot, to choose one, I might just have a little trouble. The North Face, Nike's Pegasus or window shop first and take a week to think about it, just in time before for the run?

Momma's Day.

The 11th of May. Happy Birthday dear mother. The woman who supports, nurtures us with tender loving care, who taught me how to strive and wonderfully always put together how great life is. To be kind-hearted and thankful for everything. We're sorry for all the times that we may have come off as 'not the best daughters' one could have. Actions or words direct or indirectly, and we're also sorry for the wrinkles that you've been pondering about (but obviously not visible to us) due to constant worrying about our well-being. Regardless, you're as youthful as ever. I'm sure everyone feels the same about their mom. I know mine is sooper dooper the bestest mom in the entire world. With everything and anything, thank you for always keeping us in your prayers. Alhamdulillah. We love you unconditionally!

Something to sooth the mentally challenged brain tonight from all the QA madness :) I think I may have abused the repeat button.

Run this town.

I've a friend who recently became a runner this year, participating in almost every marathons that Brunei has to offer. Doing from 5km to 10km daily before/in between/after class. He is already at that stage where running has become an addiction. I've another friend who at first despises jogging but she strayed that thought aside and has now achieved 8km only after two weeks, within that same month. These are very motivating stories from the runners, I enjoy witnessing to. It shows that when you're fueled to do something, nothing can hold you back plus, nothing beats the joy in challenging yourself.

To be considered as a runner would mean not jogging for the sake of jogging but being able to sprint and run for hours, measuring every mile you go/steps you take/calories you burned, gradually building up the kilometers from there. I wish to go that far someday. Current goal is to go up to 8km without stopping or at least kicking it up a notch to an hour and thirty minutes without stopping.

Who knew (although you believe it is a complete and utter lie), an electronic good can really get you down? I went for a forty-nine-minute jog and according to the Pedometer, only ninety-calories were burned. The Nano, I am at war with you.

See, blogging is fun provided you know what to write about. Last twenty-two days, I completely ran out of ideas, plus those minor minor stories have already been tweeted. So there is this obsession with tweeting, and being so occupied in meeting all report deadlines strained the writing juice out of my brain. One more report to go and I'm done but because it's the month of May, I'm not done. Just enough to catch a breath then it's time to cram for finals. Not to forget to train which I think I haven't done squat for. Not complaining, simply looking forward for everything to be over and done with. Bismillah.

p.s. My mojo is back and I hope yours is too, dear Dalila. I expect an update or the least an accessible blog after your exams!

As I sit still doing the bitchiest assignment in history, Quantitative Analysis, I was serenaded by Chris Carraba's distinctive voice who stopped that part of me in dire to rip the sheets of my unsolved dilemma. Some tunes will never never ever never ever get old!
