One Evening.

So last night, I went to this play in Maktab Duli. A 'View from the Bridge' its called. The play was a hit. Everything was expressed well, dramatic and full of exuberant ranting. Provacative acting and some astounding scenes. One detrimental that took place last night was the unclear dialog and warm auditorium. Other than that, I really enjoyed the night. I met tons of people I do not know apart from Arif, haha and a few people I now know thanks to Aleem. =)

Chicken.

One of the unhealthy nights where fried chicken and fries were prominent with coleslaw being the only thing that's supposedly healthy was an indulgent, a craving where the word DIET wasn't included in our usage of language. Yeap, you guessed it, we had KFC with daddy. hehehe. Though it was a week ago, the orders were still fresh in my mind although now, thinking about the food we ate last week makes me wanna throw up. Think I'm back to the healthy regime although its knowingly difficult for me to do so with all the food my family has been feeding me. lol. Well, I won't have that treatment in a few weeks time =( but on the bright side, I'll be, well I hope I'll be leaner. Plus, its not perpetually I get such treatment, thus, this makes it an exception. =)

Somewhere In Town.

On Tuesday Night my mom brought me, my dad and lil sis to the food stalls in Bandar. She brought us there to try the best 'Gado-gado' (a type of Indonesian cuisine) in Town.

To my surprise, the place wasn't deserted at all like I thought it would be. The location made it seem as if the place lies 'in the hundred acre woods'. haha okay, that was pretty lame. We made it through the rain, got ourselves a place to sit and started ordering like there was no tomorrow. Not exactly, haha. The food was cheap, and came in big portions. I tried tit bits as there was a variety. Delicious~ I'd recommend it despite the doggy location and the stench.

I've been spending plenty of time with my family, venturing out places and good food rated from the exquisite 5 stars restaurants to hawker stalls, all are equivalently scrumptious. =) ohhhhh, and this time, we went as a family, indescribable words made it the highlight of night. And, the delighted euphoria feeling like the time when I first got my first rose back in 2007. =)

Breathing Prerequisites.

Currently listening to 'This Ain't A Love Song' by Bon Jovi. So excuse me if I do slip in some lyrics out of the blue. I'm really feeling this song. haha. I've got 2 hrs before class. In the meantime, updating my blog would be the wisest decision to do.

So, I've always wondered the procedure of breathing. Needn't the scientific explanation of why we breathe and movements of the diaphragm, basically facts that we learn in biology. More like simply inhaling and exhaling. Its been proven that breathing the accurate way can ease the weight easily and as we all know, by breathing in, the oxygen helps to purify our blood removing poisonous waste products circulating throughout our blood systems.

Proper Breathing can be helpful for reducing anger, anxiety , depression, muscular tension etc.

Little did I know about the proper way of breathing until I did further research and saw impressive results. My mom's friend lost 12kgs in 2 weeks simply by changing the way she breathes plus with the help of yoga. She looks irresistible. haha. Breathing the accurate way is the prominent practice in yoga anyway. My dad's colleague undergo the same breathing process too.

Tips on breathing the right way which I've been practicing since 29/7/2008:

· It is advised to breathe through your nose because tiny hairs and mucous membranes filter out dust and toxins from the inhaled air. Make sure to keep your mouth closed as you breathe.

· Your chest and abdomen should move together as you breath. You aren't breathing effectively and not making use of your lower lungs if it is only your chest rising. As you inhale you should feel your abdomen rising. As you exhale, the abdomen comes back in. This inhale and exhale process should continue comfortably and smoothly.

Breathing the recommended way also helps with our exercise performance, improving the physical and overall mental health. As quoted by Dr. Andrew Weil; well-known for establishing the field of integrative medicine.

"Practicing regular, mindful breathing can be calming and energizing and can even help with stress-related health problems ranging from panic attacks to digestive disorders."

Live life healthily.=)

Silence Speaks.

*Sigh* Yes, a sound of silence in this room. Not a sound meddled in apart from the sound of the keyboard hoarding its way through this jumble of words I'm typing in this blog of mine and not to forget the huffing sound of my breathing. Time flies so fast, and before I know it, I'll be on the other side of the country in a few weeks time. A wretch feeling stops by when thinking about it. It has been a month and a half now but it only felt like yesterday I've settled down in Brunei. I've been preoccupied lately with tuition, family and friends and only today was I immensely jobless. Babu is out for a late night shift and Babah and Rirah on the other hand are doing their own things which I'm about to intrude in. Haha. But still, that doesn't stop me from feeling like someone has pulled my stomach, feeling inevitably gutless!

What the hell-o, I shouldn't be writing some kind of emo post like my sister, Rirah. Kidding~ Be optimistic, that's what she'll say. I guess she's right. All I got to do now is make the most of my stay before I return to serenity and back to glued coherent principles. I.e school and prep times.

Oh Here are pictures from Saturday's Ritual Father and Daughters' 'Hangout'. Just as long as Babah doesn't embarrass us in public I wouldn't mind considering this as 'hangout'. Right Rah? hehehe. =)

Rirah's Piece or shall I say, pieces. muahaha.

Full and Satisfied. What was I doing?

Majlis Ilmu ICC.

Finally, I got hold of the laptop where multitude of my documents were saved; to be posted to my blog. These pictures were taken on the 27th of July but only today did I get a chance to post them up. Twas quite an experience and as my dad would phrase it, mind-globing. There shouldn't be any ideas to engage in the value for these items because they aren't value for money. Here are some pictures from 'Majlis Ilmu' Exhibition in ICC in relation to Sultan's 62nd Birthday. It definitely widened my eyes and altered some perception on Islam and our daring Prophets.

My dad guided me whilst explaining each photograph. I was amazed by Brunei's History and agendas. There was even an oil refining machine which worked traditionally. This was before oil was discovered as a commodity in our markets. Anyways, his guidance made the exhibition seemed more intriguing. Thanks for being the most patient tour guide Bah! oh and by the end of the tour, we got freebies. Indeed, how rewarding for simply venturing out. The exhibition ended yesterday, the 5th of August.
