Nabz Lil-Munchkin.

Two of my most fav girls. xoxo

Immediately after ICC, I went back home to get my gym kit packed and headed straight for the door to go to Le'apple. We got the 'Chocolate Mousse Fudge Cake' with red writing on the cake saying 'Happy 17th Birthday Negro A**, We Love You.' T'was Momo's brilliant kinky phrase for our Nabzy De Billy Boo. We then dropped the cake at Pizza Hut, and dashed out to get her last minute pressie. Went back to pizza hut to meet the rest of the girlies. Nadia, Nabz and Insyirah.

After a few bites of pizza which merely took us 20 mins to wait, the cake we bought for the birthday girl was presented together with Pizza Hut staffs singing to more than one happy birthday song; all in different languages! It felt like musical paradise for a split second. Nabilah was blushing joyfully, she loved it! Voila~ our work is done.

For 10 mins of deliberate hyper-activeness, Nabz's brother, Arif, joined us. Thank god the muscle man was there to finish off the last three pizzas. The birthday girl suggested the Mall Arcade for some Mario action so we went there and had a blast=) Too bad it all had to end by 5:30, well for me that is! hehe. Happy Birthday Nabzy! Mahn, no pics to show.

Twin Babies.

I was surfing 30 mins ago and look what caught my eye. Bless the twins. =) I'm sure most people know about them by now, but oh well, doesn't stop one from posting.

Although I have no relations or whatsoever to these two newborn twins of 2 weeks, but I know for a fact that this is something amazing that forces us to question our own guts. Wonder how their mom think of them? I doubt there wouldn't be tears coming from both parents. Tears of joy that is =) simply beautiful.

Say 'Hello' to Ryan and Leo, the rare pair:
Born on the 11th July 2008

Other cases as such occurred in years' 1993, 2005 and 2006.

*Evaluation carried out in the Institute for Human Genetics at Bonn University: The white mother may have some black ancestors or black father, with white ancestors hence why this happens. It is said to be due to the roll of the DNA die that may cause the baby of biracial parents to inherit only the genetic coding for one color.

Well that explains it, but only a lil fraction. I would be interested to find out but right now, I'm more intrigued on the babies themselves. Knowing why one is black and the other is white, isn't as important!

My Thursday Night was awesome. Although things were planned last minute, everything merely fell into place. So after a long day from tuition and the gym I received a text from one of my bestestfriend, Azmeena! After being in Brunei for about a month now; its only on that particular day did I come to realize that I haven't caught up with friends I've intended to meet so thankfully, Azmeena text-ed me to join her. Without hesitation, I agreed because I know that if I don't go now, I may never get to meet up with her as everyone is practically busy due to qualifying exams, tuition etc.

I was glad to have met up with Azmeena and Yuri. I"ve known you guys like since ever and hope it'll stay that way till we girlies grow old. Right after doing Maghrib, I went straight away to Netzone to meet up with them. My Dad dropped me and left me there for about 55 mins; held a quick update session. By 8:15, they had to go for tuition, and off went. Man, no pictures to show and tell. There is always next time, hopefully. =)

After all the excitement, my dad mentioned pizza so we headed straight to pizza hut for dinner. Another incredible way to end the night! After that it was time for 'cruising around till the bloated feeling has eradicated session.' What joy. :)

My, Myself Including You.

On Wednesday night, I watched the new-release movie which is still surprisingly top ranked in the U.S box office charts, no other than The Dark Knight. Starring Award-Winning Actor; Heath Ledger, and Actress; Maggie Gyllenhal. As we all know, Heath Ledger,28, had decimated on the 22nd of January this year. Bless upon him with his movie. He played his role professionally well as a demented Joker which I find personally more interesting than Batman himself. Har har. I have to say, the movie wasn’t brilliant nor was it a bore. It just wasn’t as I expected the outcome to be like.

Throughout the movie, there were moral complexities. The use of morality, honor and faith pops up every few minutes which portray an extraordinary idealistic and ideological film. I did enjoy watching lil fractions of the movie such as the jury, lawyers in action. Oh and the challenge in democracy too. Although, Aleem and I were puzzled about some characters they mentioned in the first half and only came to realize who those people were towards the ending. Climax of the movie, the lack of smooth execution in the script and confusing plot surely left our heads scratching after sitting for 152 minutes.

From my experience, the night did not all go as smooth. Haha, there were things I should have or shouldn't have done:

  • Being indenial about my bladder and drank as much as I can anyway hence I suffered this for an hour and a half, god knows how I wanted to urinate so badly)
  • I should have worn comfortable shoes. (I wore 2 inch slippers that stretched my calves and crossed my legs throughout the movie that made it ache even more.)
  • Bring a jacket (it may be optional or a total no-no in Brunei, but in an air-conditioned mall that’s been operating since morning at 360 celsius (hyperbolic), I think it’s necessary.

So overall, The Dark Knight was just satisfactory but then again I could be wrong as this was just our viewpoints of the movie. Oh but don’t get me wrong, the movie may be alright, but the night ended immensely well. Maybe it’s because there weren’t many people and I was out with a marvelous escort. Lol. Yeah I had fun and glad I came to this last minute decision. We both agreed that it was alrightttt, although Aleem whined saying how it's "inda siuk" , "the girl inda hot", "after the girl mati….jadinya" and preferred ‘Wanted’. Hahaha. I just quoted you! 2 hrs and 30 mins man, ishh, nope I’m not regretting a minute of it.

Of the movie:- 5/10

My Evening Outing:- 9/10

Saturday Night.

As usual, on Saturday night, dad’s ritual to hang out with his kids. Well, this Saturday certainly wasn't what we ought it to be like. Like any other Saturdays, we know where to head to even if decisions were made in the car, however last night, we spent an hour and 30 mins cruising around deciding where to go. Only around 10p.m did we agree upon a venue, Matadoe, Gadong. A chic place but the point is, this is inevitably unusual. What happened to the magic touch of decision making? Sigh, it was very unproductive. Habis minyak sahaja. Haha. Either way, we did have fun being in the company of each other. Rirah babbling about school, my dad with his riddles and life lessons and I on the other hand, complaining about malay and karangan which they have been tolerating for the past weeks. I love my family's genuine ears and heart.

Mom made plans with her bestie, Auntie Lina hence why she couldn’t tag along, but she would’ve. Hehe. So at 10 p.m, out and about with my sis and dad, 'chilling' he’d call it. We were accompanied with coffee, cakes and pies! What a way to end an unproductive night. Let’s just hope that won’t happen next Sat, Insya Allah. Har har. =)

Highlight of the night by Babah's so-called riddle.

'What is the first thing we look for when going anywhere in Brunei?' - he asked us.

'Ohhh, how many people there are?' - Rirah replied.

'I know, i know, the amount of cars there are! - I said.

'No, think harder you two.' - he exclaimed belligerently.

After a few bimbo-tic guesses or should I say conjectures made by Rirah and I, such as people's faces, lighting, whether the road is safe and what not. He finally came to a conclusion and blurted out the answer. 'Parking space!!!!' hahahaha whilst laughing hysterically.

Rirah and I was like, "how was that a riddle although you do have a point bah."haha.

Now, now; why didn't we think of that? ish ish ish. =/

The Family Singstar.

Here's Harirah, my sister the singstar. I consider her a dang well singer as she's probably the only person in the family whose not tone deaf and sings her heart out regardless of what people think.

You have a talent my love, listen up peeps.

Rirah singing 'Home' by Daughtry.

See what I mean? hehe. xoxo.

Summer Calling.

Ice-cream is the total trend this summer. Hot enjoyable season, there is nothing more than paradise than having a tub of your favorite ice-cream. Indulge people!

Ben and Bill's Ice-Cream Cooperation has just introduced the new 'Lobster Ice-cream' . Made from hand-cooked lobster. Ben & Bill's have claimed to pick the meat, butter it, and fold it into the ice cream. The butter-flavored ice-cream had just launched and already it's made staggering amounts. Talking about experimenting.

Thought it'd be awesome to post something that sounds compulsively nasty such as the lobster ice-cream but tastes so good.

Guidelines to fresh tasting ice-cream:
  • Freezer temperature should be set between 5° F and 0° F.
  • Ice-cream should be stored in the main compartment in the freezer and never in the freezer door, as this may cause fluctuating temperatures due to closing and opening freezer.
  • Never allow ice cream to soften and refreeze. As ice cream's small ice crystals melt and refreeze, they can eventually turn into large, unpalatable lumps.
  • Ice-cream tubs must be sealed tightly. It is important to keep the lid or container closed at all times. Use aluminum foil if necessary.
  • Never store ice-creams next to uncovered food as this may cause bad odors to penetrate into ice-cream.
Happy Summer Holidays. =)

Karangan sangat megejikan! Just when I thought I'd get a miraculous break from writing karangans, I was given another topic to write about. Just yesterday did I hand in my karangan, and what made things worse was that it was an informal letter concerning the growth of rice(padi). Betapa tidak menyeronokkan.

I guess i shouldn't be complaining, its not for anyone but for myself. I need this, haha , well, think all my rage has been eliminated.

Padi bukit, padi paya, padi tugal. Padi padi padi. That was random. haha and I've got another one to write about! But this time, the topic is a teeeeny bit intriguing. Menyambung ayat/cerita, I better get down to business now.

BFF & Cheesecake?

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY MO & P. BFF! May there will be more joy and happiness to come for the both of you bless. ;)

2 yrs ago: Momo and I

Momo called me, asking for cheesecake recipe. Not the typical sponge cheesecakes but the simpler version, as I find our Bruneian cheesecake more intricate to make in comparison to the westernized cheesecake. I just realized that my BFF is simply the sweetest, she’s doing all this and making the effort to please her boyfriend. Their 5th month anni. I’m Happy for you and Pang, Mo! *HUGS*

Well, as telling her over the phone wasn’t enough, I’d like the recipe post it up into my blog for future purposes. This is an online public diary isn’t? Trust me peeps, its as simple, you needn’t to lift a finger, haha, not literally.

Standard American Cheesecake:

4 lg Eggs
3 tb Flour
1 1/2 c Sugar
3 tb Cornstarch
2 lb Cream cheese, softened (4 8oz. packages)
2 ts Vanilla
1/2 c Butter - 1 stick softened
1 pt Sour cream
Fruit topping optional

Beat eggs in large bowl. Blend in sugar, flour and cornstarch. Add remaining ingredients blending well after each addition. Blend until smooth. Pour into a springpan. Pan will be very full. Bake for 1 hour at 325F. Turn oven off and leave cake to cool with oven door open for another hour. Remove and refrigerate.

Speaking of cakes, any queries about bakery, cake deco, I’m not the person to ask, but my sassy kacitsness. Her blog: (

So, after breakfast my dad brought my sister and I to Zunic Fitness so that we could register ourselves as we've been pretty health conscious lately despite the fact that we had McD last night. haha. Anyway, it is located at Plaza Athirah. The gym left me stoned. It wasn't what I imagined it to be. The facilities were outstanding and its equipments were relatively similar to my old gym, LA fitness, London. Although the lack of space, its definitely a bonus. My eyes flung wide open as I entered the gym. I brought home 2 registration forms, hoping to start working out very soon as I know that I'm immensely unfit at the moment. I just love my food too much and by god, it's everywhere here.

The price is also well affordable in comparison to Fitness Zone.
Membership Fee - $60 (starting fee)
Gym Fee - $20 (monthly)
Classes + Gym + Nutritional guidance etc = $120 (monthly)

They offer a wide variety of activities such as dance classes, from intensive muscle building to free spirited, mind and soul body exercises such as yoga. But I'm eying highly dependent on the gym itself!

My dad, lil sis and I were supposed to go to Tasek for a morning jog but I overslept so we ended up going for an early breakfast instead. We were talking about how my dad wants to feel revitalized after jogging before he goes off for work on a bloody Sunday afternoon. Just great, how healthier can we both be. haha. Here are some are some pics from this morning:

A Little something for everyone: A group of professional people posed this question to a group of 4 to 8 year-olds, "What does love mean?"

The answers they got were broader and deeper than anyone could have imagined. See what you think:

"When my grandmother got arthritis, she couldn't bend over and paint her toenails anymore. So my grandfather does it for her all the time, even when his hands got arthritis too. That's love." Rebecca- age 8

"When someone loves you, the way they say your name is different. You just know that your name is safe in their mouth." Billy - age 4

"Love is when a girl puts on perfume and a boy puts on shaving cologne and they go out and smell each other." Karl - age 5

"Love is when you go out to eat and give somebody most of your French fries without making them give you any of theirs." Chrissy - age 6

"Love is what makes you smile when you're tired." Terri - age 4

"Love is when my mommy makes coffee for my daddy and she takes a sip before giving it to him, to make ! sure the taste is OK." Danny - age 7

"Love is when you kiss all the time. Then when you get tired of kissing, you still want to be together and you talk more. My Mommy and Daddy are like that. They look gross when they kiss" Emily - age 8

"Love is what's in the room with you at Christmas if you stop opening presents and listen." Bobby - age 7 (Wow!)

"If you want to learn to love better, you should start with a friend who you hate," Nikka - age 6 (we need a few million more Nikka's on this planet)

"Love is when you tell a guy you like his shirt, then he wears it everyday." Noelle - age 7

"Love is like a little old woman and a little old man who are still friends even after they know each other so well." Tommy - age 6

"During my piano recital, I was on a stage and I was scared. I looked at all the people watching me and saw my daddy waving and smiling. He was the only one doing that. I wasn't scared anymore." Cindy - age 8

"My mommy loves me more than anybody. You don't see anyone else kissing me to sleep at night." Clare - age 6

"Love is when Mommy gives Daddy the best piece of chicken." Elaine-age 5

"Love is when Mommy sees Daddy smelly and sweaty and still says he is handsomer than Robert Redford." Chris - age 7

"Love is when your puppy licks your face even after you left him alone all day." Mary Ann - age 4

"I know my older sister loves me because she gives me all her old clothes and has to go out and buy new ones." Lauren - age 4

"When you love somebody, your eyelashes go up and down and little stars come out of you." (what an image) Karen - age 7

"Love is when Mommy sees Daddy on the toilet and she doesn't think it's gross." Mark - age 6

"You really shouldn't say 'I love you' unless you mean it. But if you mean it, you should say it a lot. People forget." Jessica - age 8

And the final one -- Author and lecturer Leo Buscaglia once talked about a contest he was asked to judge. The purpose of the contest was to find the most caring child. The winner was a four year old child whose next door neighbor was an elderly gentleman who had recently lost his wife.

Upon seeing the man cry, the little boy went into the old gentleman's yard, climbed onto his lap, and just sat there. When his Mother asked what he had said to the neighbor, the little boy said, "Nothing, I just helped him cry." awwww.

"Love is sustained by actions and a pattern of devotion in the things we do for each other every day" - Nicholas Sparks.

Merely tons of definitions and yet, sometimes it is taken for granted. That's all for now.

My Saturday.

Shashabuiiiiiiii....a phrase from KungFu Panda's PS2 Game. It's very catchy; been in my head all day long.

I have just arrived from 3 hours of Malay Tuition at The Hjh Fatimah Tutorial School. My tutor is uber cool, even after a long day, I haven't felt restless; matter of fact, I feel motivated in every class. Even though, I haven't done any malay for the past 6 years, it feels just like yesterday I was in primary six getting all the information I need for my PSR. Not literally, haha I think its due to some similarities that I've learn then and now. Well, what a way to kill time for the summer. I feel reinvigorated in every class, wanting to be here. There are also new malay vocabularies to learn! This is probably my best summer in Brunei, awesomeeeee!

It's Saturday Night and and my dad has this policy about about this particular night. He always feels energized even after a long day from work. This is more or less like a ritual to him to 'hang out' with his kids. If my mother isn't too exhausted, she'll always tag along. We'd either spend our Saturday nights watching movies, eating out, or simply cruising round Bandar and Gadong till 9 to 10 p.m. We're about to leave after doing isya to...errr... and did i mention that we always decide where to head to in the car? haha. Love u mom and dad.

Something Productive

Today is probably the most, not relaxing, but complacent day of my life. This is why:

Horrifying schedule for today:
  1. Got out of bed.
  2. Hit the showers.
  3. Pilates, which wasn't very effective as I cheated in most of the over-complex postures such as the 'cobra'.
  4. Surf the internet reading interesting sites and spent 2 hrs on youtube.
All in all, 3 hrs of surfing, just greattttt. But nevertheless, i got to update myself with new tunes. Check it Out:

Here's 15 yr old Miley Cyrus with her latest single, 7 Things I Hate. Simply talented, I like~

A funny video starring Charlie and his Brother, Harry. A must watch~

A better version for "Apologize" by One Republic's Music Video in comparison to the official video which was up on national TV. Opt for this one, (although its too late now) done by talented Platino from L.A, North California.

That's all for now.
